In Wednesday's Daily Rap Jay-Z' court trouble with 40/40 bar, Devin the Dude leaves Rap-A-Lot label, Game to replace Mack 10 in Westside Connection and 50 Cent wins minor victory in court battle.
Rapper Jay Z has had nothing but bad press when it comes to the staff at his flagship 40/40 bar in Manhattan. A court ruled in favor of twenty employees of the midtown sports bar and eatery filing a class-action lawsuit encouraged due to allegations against the club in paying staff over time and failing to pay the minimum wage.
It has come to light since the lawsuit was publicized that the daily manager of the bar, Desiree Gonzalez has since threatened members of staff who have been linked to the suit.
The club has been demanded by a Judge to hand over all documentation in regards to their employees to dispel any further suits and allegations. Jay Z has made no comment in regards to this matter as he continues his European tour.
After fifteen years on Houston label Rap-A-Lot, Devin the Dude parted ways with J Prince and all earlier this year.
With a new album in the works, Devin who has been heavily inspired by the late great Richard Prior, has signed on the dotted line with Razor and Tie. Slated for an Autumn release the album titled Landing Gear which will be the sixth from the rapper.
Razor and Tie have put out the highly successful Kidz Bop compilations and is home to R&B sensation Ryan Shaw.
