Dancing, spinning and leaping onto the small screen, Step Up 2: The Streets is the sizzling sequel to the 2006 smash hit Step Up. It was the biggest UK dance film opening ever and is now available to own and rent on DVD from 14th July 2008.
In this explosive follow up, classical classroom meets modern-day dance when a rebellious street dancer attempts to find a way to follow her dreams through building a bridge between two very separate worlds.
A star-fuelled, energising soundtrack featuring chart favourites like ‘Low’ by Flo Rida featuring T-Pain ignites the film as we are once again invited down the toe-tapping corridors of the Maryland School of Performing Arts.
An exclusive ‘Double the dance’ box set is also available consisting of Step Up: Special Edition and Step Up 2: The Streets.
The Step Up: Special Edition features never-been-seen footage including deleted scenes, commentaries, dance routines plus the hottest music videos from top urban acts like Sean Paul, Ciara, Chamillionaire and Chris Brown.
In the film, orphan teenage-rebel Andie (Briana Evigan) is pursuing her dream of becoming a respected dancer by rehearsing religiously with her notorious street dance troupe, the 410 crew.
However following the crew’s latest public disturbance, Andie is set an ultimatum by her interfering foster mother: turn her life around in Baltimore or give up everything she loves to start a new life with her aunt in Texas.
